Education International, concerned about the humanitarian impact of the devastating earthquake which struck Haiti earlier this week, has launched a Special Fund to help the families of teachers who have been affected.
The Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation, Inc. has announced the winners of the 2009-2010 Teacher EXCEL Grants. This year, 47 projects are being funded and 71 teachers will be honored on Wednesday, December 2. The Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation, Inc. sponsors a mini-grant program for teachers to fund creative classroom projects or activities that enrich student-learning experiences. This is the 9th year of the program. The Teacher EXCEL Grant program is supported by generous donations of MPS employees through the annual Employee Combined Giving Campaign.
