Joint Committees

Our union's joint committees are open to all MTEA members.

Budget - Prepares and recommends an annual program budget for the MTEA - along with the dues amount to fund the budget. Tom Morgan is the MTEA staff liaison.

Discipline and Security - Monitors actions of MPS impacting security and discipline in the schools. Develops recommendations and workshops for improving security and discipline. Sid Hatch is the MTEA staff liaison.

SpeakOut! - Promotes more balanced coverage of public education in Milwaukee by helping members articulate their experiences and positive stores. Provides members with information, activities, and tools to increase their effectiveness in communicating in public and in the media. Kris Collett is the MTEA staff liaison.

Teacher/Educational Assistant Team Building - Address relationship and perception concerns as a joint committee of teachers and assistants.
