Special Interest Committee

Keeps the MTEA aware of the needs and concerns of educational assistants in specific classifications, including ESL/Bilingual, Special Education, Technology, Library Assistants and Parent Coordinators.

 

Acquintis Chesir is the MTEA staff liaison to EA Committees.

 

Specific objectives for the 2008-09 school year:

1. To keep the MTEA aware of the needs and concerns of educational assistants in specific classifications.
2. To encourage participation and give input in WEAC and MTEA conferences and workshops in these specific classifications.
3. These specific classifications will include, but not be limited to: ELL/Bilingual, Special Education, Technology, Library Assistants and Parent Coordinators.
