Democracy Advocate (DA)
Organize and inform members in your school about political races, recalls, legislative issues, and political actions.
- Introduce yourself to the staff and parent leaders as the MTEA Democracy Advocate.
- Distribute the DA survey to the staff.
- Participate in the online discussion group (community of practice).
- Attend an initial "training" session with DAs from other schools.

Parent/Community Advocate (PCA)
Work with parents and community organizations at your school
- Introduce yourself to the staff and parent leaders as the MTEA Parent/Community Advocate.
- Distribute the PCA survey to the staff to find out the organizations they are involved with and to identify your school's active parents.
- Participate in the PCA online discussion group (community of practice).
- Attend an initial "training" session with PCAs from other schools.

Social Justice/Equity Advocate (SJA)
Empower members in your school to address social justice issues that your students and the community face.
- Introduce yourself to the staff and parent leaders as the MTEA Social Justice/Equity Advocate.
- Distribute the SJA survey.
- Participate in the online SJA discussion group (community of practice).
- Attend an initital "training" session with SJAs from other schools.

Teaching & Learning Advocate (TLA)
Be the "go to" person regarding curriculum, professional development, and other pedagogical issues at your school.
- Introduce yourself to the staff as the MTEA Teaching & Learning Advocate.
- Distributre the Teaching & Learning survey.
- Participate in the online TLA discussion group (community of practice).
- Attend an initial "training" session with TLAs from other schools.
