Earn Additional Pay for Planning

You may be eligible for up to 6 hours of additional pay at your individual hourly rate if you engage in any of the following special education planning activities for the 2010-11 school year:

1. Increasing outcomes in numeracy skills for students with disabilities
2. Increasing outcomes in literacy skills for students with disabilities
3. Extending the continuum of services in the building to support students with disabilities in general education classrooms and general education curriculum.
4. Reduction of suspensions of students with disabilities through positive behavior supports.

To be eligible for extra pay, your planning activities must:

• occur outside of your regular work day
• be pre-approved by the principal, teacher leader, or educational leader
• be supervised by the principal, teacher leader, special education supervisor, or SSA.

Time sheets must be received by the SELL no later than June 18, 2010.
