Salary Rate

Finding Your Salary Rate on the 191-Day Regular Teacher Salary Schedule

To find your salary on the chart  , you should look at your most recent nine-day paycheck. Find your salary division, which is printed next to "Grade" at the top of your paycheck stub, and your "Step," listed to the right of your "Grade." Then go to the chart and look down within your salary division to the step listed on your paycheck. The nine-day salary amount listed on the chart should match your biweekly "Contract Pay (T)" amount. Within that same block on the chart, your annual rate and daily rate are listed below your biweekly pay rate.

Clarification for Year-Round Schools:

  • If you teach at Congress, the daily rate is the only amount on the chart that applies to you.
  • If you teach at any other year-round school, the daily and annual amounts on the chart apply to you. However, your normal paycheck covers seven days, and the nine-day amounts do not reflect your bi-weekly earnings. To calculate your normal biweekly amount, you should multiply your daily rate (listed on the chart) by seven.
