2009-12 Contract Highlights

Term: Covers 3.5 years; January 1, 2009 - June 30, 2012

Salary: 

• January 1, 2009 - 2% raise

• July 1, 2010 - 2% lump sum amount, in two payments, dates to be determined.  (Not an hourly rate raise.)

• July 1, 2011 - 2% raise

Retro Pay:  2% for earnings starting January 1, 2009 (Date to be determined.)

Health Insurance: Same changes in PPO and HMO plan benefits as teachers and other MPS employees.

Premium contributions starting August 1, 2011

• 4% of the PPO plan premium
• 2% for HMO plan premium.

Classroom Supervision: Starting in 2011-12, when paraprofessionals supervise a teacher's class for 2 consecutive days or more, an extra $5/hour will be paid for the first day and all subsequent consecutive days.

Dental Insurance: No changes

Pension: No changes
